The WarmUp Day is your opportunity to have a soft start in the fair business. Before the show starts you can meet fellow publishers and game authors as well as professional audience, interested gamers and gaming clubs at this scene get-together. Here you can find a friendly and pleasantly relaxed atmosphere to network, train your booth stuff, promote your games or simply have a drink and a good chat. Of course you should bring your games to make people buy them on the fair ;-).
We don't charge anything for presenting your company and games, but we would be happy if you donate some games (no problem if they are used on the event before) at the end of the WarmUp Day to the SpieleGilde association for our club meetings and gaming projects.
This year we also host a BoardGameCamp at the WarmUp Day. This is a is a dedicated BarCamp (Unconference) for Boardgaming. It's about game design, publishing or simply collecting and playing board games. You can join in by proposing a topic to the audience and create a session. Here are some ideas what you can propose for example:
- Present upcoming games or projects.
- Tell your audience about publishing and your production process
- Share your knowledge about Kickstarter campaigns.
- Give insights how you select and publish games.
I WANT BE PART OF THE BOARDGAMECAMP!
Just so you know – you can’t sell or buy anything at the WarmUp Day. You have to do that at the games fair.
